I've figured out how to bring the board back to life, but I have just not had much luck with.
I have been fighting with these stupid HP dv6 & 9000, and v6000 Compaq model laptops for some time now. In the meantime, unlike the Apple MacBook Pro, there is no sensor that can switch on the illuminated keyboard automatically in low light. However, HP provides a backlit keyboard as an optional feature in its laptops and notebooks. Printers (Both HP and Samsung) Look for the bar code stickers on your printer. If that doesn't work, this information can also be found on your bar code stickers, which may be located behind the battery. Some products utilize the keyboard shortcut 'Fn + Esc' the product information will appear after a short delay. Keyboard USBs are plugged in but keyboard not working. Once the debris is clear, gently place the key in its proper location and firmly press down until you hear it click into place. Once it is separated, check for any debris under the key itself or on the keyboard. Carefully pry the stuck key up and away from the keyboard. Press down the power button for 1 or 2 minutes. Turn Off the laptop and remove its battery. Here you have power cycle the laptop by following the steps mentioned below: Remove the Power Adapter from the laptop. This is one of the most successful fix for the laptop keyboard not working problem. If you are new to the keyboard, and you are not sure, then look for such keys or check the manual. When I touch it for the fourth time, it lights up the keyboard back to the maximum.
